With today's builds on Maemo, I see a gray area at the bottom of the page.
I also see this happening when opening a new page.

I can't recall seeing this in a build from 2 days ago.

Checkins from the last few days:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mobile-browser/pushloghtml?startdate=2010-12-29+04%3A00%3A00&enddate=2011-01-01+09%3A00%3A00

Tested, using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Maemo; Linux armv7l; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20110101 Firefox/4.0b9pre Fennec/4.0b4pre ID:20110101024709

I'm also seeing this on regular pages, not on only about:firefox.

I suspect that another aspect of this bug is that it's almost impossible to scroll up, once you've scrolled down on a page.
Yes, it makes it very hard to use Firefox on Maemo. Setting blocking flag.

I'm seeing the same gray area, but scrolling refreshes everything and removes it (and I can scroll up)

Whoops. This bug needs to be fixed for Fennec to ship on Maemo 5

FWIW, it also happens after switching from landscape to portrait mode.
Yep, bug 609940 fixes this for me
