User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4 Build Identifier: Version 2.0.6 (1.9.0.19 2010111021) The "Gray-colored" search box on any of the NIH NCBI-related websites (for example: "http://http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/guide/" is not displayed correctly by Camino (this has been a constant problem for the past year, with multiple releases of Camino). The Search Box should be displayed within the gray-colored top bar of all NCBI-related websites, but instead, Camino displays it overlapping other features on the page. This is very annoying when retrieving information, since text can be overlapped by the wrongly positioned search box. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.connect to "http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/guide/", or 2.connect to "http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed" 3. Actual Results: Simply connect to one of the sites mentioned, look at the search box at the top of the page, it is not positioned correctly; it should be confined within the gray area/banner of the page (Safari displays it correctly, if you need to see that) Expected Results: See above Display the search box within the top gray area of the page. Please use Safari or Firefox to see the correct positioning and display of the search box
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this is related to bug 523852, but the search box looks like it's correctly positioned in a recent nightly. I bet the site's broken in Firefox 3.0.x too.
This looks fine to me in 1.6.x, 2.0.x, and the nightlies; this sounds like a local problem. If you use Troubleshoot Camino to test with a fresh profile, does the box display properly then? http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/troubleshoot-camino
Oh, yeah, it would also probably help if you weren't spoofing your UA string as Safari. (At least, that's what it looks like you're doing in comment 0, anyway.) cl
Can you answer the question posed in comment 2, please?
