User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20110102 Firefox/4.0b9pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20110102 Firefox/4.0b9pre I have been having problems where I click on links to submit a web page and Minefield times out with a "Cannot find: <ADDRESS> - Error: Server cannot be found" message. I have provided a screenshot. I received this message TWICE today and a couple times yesterday. Seems like the network connection is becoming intermittent in recent builds. I selected "Critical" as depending on what you are doing and if the website has cookie files, you could lose the data you just entered when you have to go back and resubmit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Hard to reproduce except when it appears. Happens more often when I submit a page (such as an order or a resume submission). I never had this problem before the 12/29 or 12/30 builds. Actual Results: Connection seems like it gets lost in recent builds. Expected Results: Connection to web pages should not be intermittent. I have a fast, Comcast cable connection.
Sorry...Reproducible should be "Sometimes". That is one field I keep forgetting to change.....

WFM using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20110101 Firefox/4.0b9pre ID:20110101030401 Is it possible that this is just a temporary issue with your connection/with the website in question? Can you try using a build from say 12/29 for a few days and seeing if the problem occurs with that? If it does, then can you try and narrow down the regression range a bit more please.

wfm Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20110102 Firefox/4.0b9pre SeaMonkey/2.1b2pre Are you sure that you don't have a problem with your DNS setup or that your installed Toolbar is causing this ? Note: Gecko asks the OS to do the DNS lookup
Severity: critical → normal
I am going to experiment with this more, because I do understand that sometimes browsers / OS / network connections have "hiccups" and there could be nothing wrong with the Minefield code. I am using Norton DNS for the look-ups (198.153.192.1 and 198.153.194.1) and do not experience this problem every day. If I find the problem also occurs with Internet Explorer, then I will close this bug and mark it as "Invalid".
