Camino fails to arrive at login page for gmail, error message:

"Data Transfer Interrupted            
          
The connection to www.google.com has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred.

Camino connected successfully, but the connection was interrupted while transferring information.  Please try again.

    * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
    * Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance."

Login, and navigating gmail pages fine on Safari so webpage & computer OK.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Gmail login page, from bookmark or search result
2. 2 faults, login page fails to appear, or if login page loaded, then inbox fails to appear
3.Error page loaded as above
Actual Results:  
Error message:
"Data Transfer Interrupted

Camino connected successfully, but the connection was interrupted while transferring information.  Please try again.

Only in Camino, not Safari.

Expected Results:  
Bookmark should go (until earlier today always did) to gmail login page, from login page to inbox

Attachment: Error message

Error message displayed when trying to go to gmail login page, or from login page to inbox.  Login fine on Safari, not logged in today from Camino because of this.  Camino much more responsive than Safari on PPC Mac!

That kind of errors point to some network problem, not a browser specific problem.
Reloading (or force reloading - Cmd-Shift R) usually fixes the issue.

It could possibly also be a cookies issue. Have you tried clearing your google cookies ? Google is known to corrupt their own cookies from time to time.

Tried both, but Gmail still not loading.  Loads in Safari, but Safari now optimised for Intel Macs, so sluggish on PPC Macs, Camino much better for the .. mature Mac

Have you tried disconnecting from all network connections and/or restarting your Mac? There's really no way this behaviour can possibly be a Camino problem.

Have restarted, and gone back from mobile internet to fixed line internet.  Gmail loads now, not sure which solved the problem

Sounds like this was due to some local networking gremlins. WORKSFORME.
