Is this a regression?  If so, do we have any idea when?  We haven't touched that GNOME code in a year or so... and the crash seems to be in GNOME's guts unzipping some XML file, so not something we really have control over.

Is there any correlation with distro?  Do we even have that data?

May be it is related to a Linux update. See bug 626051 about libz.so recent update in Android.

Could be.  We need to escalate this to the right bug tracker ASAP; the problem is finding the right bug tracker.  Maybe just the GNOME one?

There have been no crashes in nsGNOMERegistry::GetFromType with signatures containing libz.so.1.2.5 for the last four weeks.
I close it as WFM.
