We need to add L10n support to the new validator so it's messages are localized. -> Future until the code calms down
I don't think these messages should be localized. This is a developer tool, and the lingua franca of developers is English. The error messages in Python aren't localized; all the words in the programming language are based on English words.
Most of the validation errors are hard coded as English strings in the amo-validator code. It seems worthwhile to at least toss those into the translation process so that translators can pick them up. Even though non-English add-on developers probably know English it would be faster for them to read and parse errors in their own language. It wouldn't be too large of a change to prepare existing code for localization.

Here's an example of an existing error message: https://github.com/mattbasta/amo-validator/blob/master/validator/testcases/packagelayout.py#L82

Thanks for filing this. In an effort to not drown in existing reports we're aggressively closing old enhancements and bugs to get the buglist to a reasonable level so we can scope and process bug sprints in an effective manner.

Patches for this bug are still welcome.
