Reporter, Firefox 4.0.1 has been released, and it features significant improvements over previous releases. Can you please update to Firefox 4.0.1 or later, and retest your bug? Please also create a fresh profile ( http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles), update your plugins (Flash, Java, Quicktime, Reader, etc) and update your graphics driver and Operating system to the latest versions available. If you still continue to see this issue, please comment. If you do not, please close this bug as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME filter: prefirefox4uncobugs

I perform the same task with Chrome and IE9 and works fine. I am not sure what else I can tell you except it is not working in FF. I will attach a screenshot in case that would be helpful.

This is the pop-up that occurs when error occurs while trying to send to GPS unit. As I stated previously this does not occur with my other two browsers.

(In reply to comment #4) > Well you didn't create a fresh profile, try that It did work with a fresh profile. Would you possibly know why it will not work with the original profile? Do you have any recommendation as to what I should do? I created as a test profile in a different location, so I can do whatever I need to do with it. What do you suggest?

If it works with a fresh profile, it is going to be one of your addons. You can either move your bookmarks and data to the fresh profile, or if you wish to track down the offending addon, in your old profile, disable your addons one by one until you find the culprit. Then report to the addon developer.

Thanks for your assistance. I greatly appreciate it! I will check the addons to see which one it is. Thanks!
