User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b8
Build Identifier:

It would be interesting to collect information on the number of profile directories in a user's profile directory which are "in use" (i.e. have a mod date on a file within in the last month or so).

It would also be interesting to cross this information with user sophistication (developer, power user, my dad, etc).

I'm personally interested in this data because in working on chromeless and embedding gecko, I'm curious how to expose the profile system. Knowing how useful profiles are to firefox users would help me to decide how much to (de)emphasize them in chromeless.

Also given there's talk (and even UX mockups) of making the current user identity more prominent in firefox, it might be useful to get a baseline of how successful/interesting the profiles feature is today so that we can gauge how successful changes to in in the future are.

Reproducible: Always
