Unable to mute audio of quicktime video

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/iceagecontinentaldrift/
2.Click on watch now
3.Now click on the speaker icon in the lower left corner of the player to mute video
Actual Results:  
Video doesn't get muted

Expected Results:  
Video should be muted

Quicktime version :QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6

There is no quicktime player for Linux, but able to play the quicktime videos with libtotem plugin.

I am Playing a video in firefox using quicktime player in UBUNTU PC, it is playing video, but i am not able mute the volume, in embed tag i made volume=0,
but still i am getting sound.
So please help me how to mute the volume.
