After closing a tab on which you install add-installation progress is nowhere visible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open addons.mozilla.org and begin to install any add-on.
2.Close the current tab.
3.Now progress on downloads never displayed
4.Wait for the Software Installation window and click Install Now. The proposal to restart your browser does not appear.


Expected Results:  
Progress on downloads, and a proposal to restart your browser to be displayed even after closing a tab.
