It appears that the problem here is the MetaWebPro-Black.woff font is sometimes not displaying. It is used for the "Browse into the Future!" headline, and when the Meta font doesn't work, the fallback Trebuchet font is wider and causes a line break.

I wondered if this could be a content/type issue - it appears we are service the WOFF file as text/plain:

After a bit more digging, it appears that the CDN is not respecting the access-control-allow-origin headers required to display a WOFF font from another domain (the CDN domain).

This means that any page loading the fonts from the CDN will not be able to display the font.

Filed Bug 625363 for IT to figure out the CDN headers issue.

Thanks to oremj, Bug 625363 is fixed and the access-control-allow-origin headers are now passing through to the CDN. This fixes the original layout issue on this bug. QA please.

Note this should work in production already - no push should be needed.
