If we had the crontab in version control, we wouldn't need to file IT bugs all the time, and forgetting to add a cron would be a code review issue, not an "aw crap find Jeremy" issue.

Shyam, Jeremy: Do you know much about the way AMO does this, and in particular, do you have any complaints about it? We can definitely try to address those in our implementation.
