"IMO should allow threads and discussions on a feedback so that people don't repeat bugs/ideas"
I'll refer to Aakash on this one, but I am opposed to adding this feature, as Input is decidedly simple. If we added a discussion forum around it, we could have just set up a PHPBB instance in the first place. Firefox Input is one-way communication. "Duplicate" issues will result in clustering and bring issues to our radar in the first place, so in a sense they are a good thing. If many people dislike (or like) feature X, we will notice.
For discussions, there are other venues:
- for actual bugs and their related communication, there is bugzilla.
- for support questions, there's SUMO.
- for general discussions, there are the newsgroups, mailing lists, and forums like Mozillazine.

I partly agree with you.
But there should be an interface, perhaps a poll on the feedback page where users can just click a button to give their ideas about a feature. This should be helpful for getting feedback on recent changes made to Firefox.
Threads would help for getting a general discussion on a topic instead of users filing requests without knowing why that cannot be met. Also users may be informed of changes that would land in the next release. Perhaps this should be done only for the suggestions option.

I agree with both of you:
* We need an easier way to expand on a feature recommendation that is added to Input.
* We cannot afford to have Input become a complex system.
Some options:
* Provide a link to create a Bugzilla ticket for this piece of Feedback in the dropdown menu beside a ticket.
* Integrate Disqus into each Feedback piece, to allow others to expand on feature recommendation on the Input site without us needing to actually code or manage the discussion platform.
