Looking at the details of an extension (clicking the "More" link), the table of
information at the bottom is ugly because the first and second column
can be very far apart.

The distance between the columns varies depending on the add-on, but in some
cases it is almost 8 cm -- up to twice the width of the text in the columns.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Purchase and install a monitor with a large horizontal resolution.
2. Run Firefox full-screen.
3. Install an add-on.
4. Open Add-ons Manager
5. Click "Extension" or "Appearance" as appropriate.
6. Click a "More" link.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Actual Results:
There is a table at the bottom with rows labeled "Last Updates", "Automatic Updates", etc. The first and second columns are widely separated.

Expected Results:
There should be at most a couple of centimeters between the end of the first
column and the start of the second column.

Needs UX input, as Boriss was against it in bug 616434 comment 6.

boriss, it looks like this is still the case. Do you think it's a bug, or that it's something we'd want to change? If so, might you be willing to add yourself to the bug as a mentor? I'm asking because I'm going through older, untouched bugs that are marked as a "good first bug". Thanks!

The previous screen shot is https://bug616434.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=494977 .

The situation has much improved. The horizontal lines and increased vertical space between the lines help significantly, and it appears the column formatting has changed so the blank space doesn't grow as fast.

I still think the page would look better on wider screens if the blank space between the columns was smaller, but it's now more of a cosmetic issue and less of a usability issue.

(The way I think it would look best would be four columns: labels, fixed width blank (some number of px), value, rest of the table blank. That way the spacing would be an appropriate appealing width as the page width changed--but I would experiment with other approaches as well.)

Is this still something that can be worked on?
I'm interested in this bug
Looks like this was fixed with the updated add-on manager styles.
