Steps to Reproduce:
1. open new tab
2. enter URL http://www.aerztezeitung.de
3. dialog box will be shown

I can't reproduce; try starting firefox in safe mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode

That firefox doesn't show pages identified as "application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml" isn't strange as its not a known mime type, but as far as i can find, the page isn't using it. This can happen from buggy extensions or plugins messing with firefox.

Able to reproduce. When clicking enter on the above URL, download dialog box with application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml is shown and with Open with and Save dialogs.

This is bad user agent detection from the site. The change log covers the UA redesign and spoofing Firefox 3.6 works around the bug. 

The sites need to update the code for their sites detection to match the format found in http://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/final-user-agent-string-for-firefox-4/
