When I edit the developer profile for my Undigestify add-on, it claims that HTML allowed, including <a ...>, but the <a ...> anchors I put into my profile text are showing up just that way rather than as proper links when users view the profile.
Reproducible: Always

I don't think the two bugs are duplicates. 626350 is about the fact that there is a URL in the text of the developer profile, it isn't getting converted into a filter automatically. This bug, on the other hand, is about the fact that I have <a href="link">linktext</a> in the text of my developer profile, but instead of being displayed as a link to "link" with the text "linktest", it's displayed exactly as I just typed it, i.e., with the raw HTML code visible.
Those don't look like the same issue to me.

It sort of sucks that this regression from the old AMO has been broken for five months.

When the code is cleaned, removing any nasty HTML, links get converted.
