What does error 4836 mean? How does this translate to a bug? What is this testing?

well, these tests are provided by the macromedia QA to test with 6.0. I doubt
that there is any documentation on these tests. But I am just comparing these
tests with the results on 4.x. :( I am cc'ing the macromedia Qa contact who
might b able to shed more light on this.

from mail from Macromedia QA :
Playback Rules:
1. Hit the Start button
Verify
The movie sends out 8 getNetText requests in a for loop and retrieves the
results as they come in.
or type the following in the message window:
open window
"http://thebox.macromedia.com/dirtest/Netlingo/3525/multistream.dcr"
background: This movie uses a simple fortune cgi script on the server side.
The movie passed a random parameter to the cgi script to generate the fortune
(as
opposed to the cgi script returning a random fortune.) The movie sends out
8 getNetText requests in a for loop and retrieves the results as they come in.

Moving to m1.0 and reassigning to chrisn. chrisn, how important is this?

This was probably assigned to <chrisn@netscape.com> before I took over his
responsibilities. Shrirang thinks this is important, so I'm putting it on a PDT
radar.

Arun,
Can Macromedia QA comment on what this error code means?

Re-assigning this bug to myself, since chrisn isn't working on this type of
stuff currently. I've written to macromedia and am hoping to hear back on the
meaning of some of these errors. Note that on one netlanski test, 4.x returns
the same error as Mozilla.

well, I do not see any error message now (0430 trunk). Text loads fine using 8.5
shockwave plugin on win/mac trunk. Marking WFM.
