Hi,

Due to help received form Seth Bindernagel and Alexandru Szasz, we were able to port our launchpad Firefox localization to Narro. We have just completed its localization.

Please, register Kashubian (csb)localization team. Kashubia is located within the territory of Poland.

Below is a link to Kashubian Localization project on Narro:

https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_project_list.php?l=csb&f=0

and Kashubian Linux portal:

http://linuxcsb.org/

I will attempt to add the Narro export "on the bug after it's filed" as outlined below.

My information:

Yurek K Hinz (aka Jurk)
jurk@linuxcsb.org
yhinz@faculty.ed.umuc.edu

Reproducible: Always
Please review this localization and establish Kashubian (csb) localization team. Localization has been 100% complete.

Firefox Next Kashubian localization (export from Narro)

This is on a good path, but there are a few errors that should be fixed first.

For one, https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/data/import/14/Firefox%20Next%20%28mozilla-central%29_csb_compare-locales.html shows 5 errors with links to the strings where to fix them (shows them twice, for whatever reason).

Also, on https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_file_text_list.php?l=csb&p=14&f=10943&tf=1&st=1&s=, it should be Kashubian in Kashubian, not English (US) in Kashubian.

On https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_context_suggest.php?l=csb&p=14&f=10861&c=152035&tf=1&st=1&s=&ci=8&cc=8&o=-1&a=0&sc=0 that shouldn't be translated, just change it back to "true"? That string is a flag between the English words "true" and "false", in your case, the standard "true" should work.

Attached file Corrected Kashubian Firefox (obsolete) —
Axel,

Thank you for your professional review. I have corrected the errors and am attaching another export from Narro ("Corrected Kashubian Firefox).

Let me know how this looks to you.

Hi,

I assume you are extremely busy with the forthcoming release of Firefox4, the best browser in the world!

Attached is the newest export from Narro which includes the most recent changes.

Please, review and pending the results, create Kashubian (csb) location for the project.

Sincerely,

Jurk

This is the newest export from Narro and includes fixes pointed out by Axel.

Hi Jurk,

I suggest you hg remove the files mentioned here:

https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/data/import/14/Firefox%20Next%20%28mozilla-central%29_csb_compare-locales.html

Just to keep the output clean and help Axel review this faster.

e.g.

hg remove browser/chrome/browser/aboutSupport.dtd
hg commit
hg push

I realise that it will take a few minutes, I'll try to implement something to help with that, but meanwhile it helps if you do it yourself.
As for list.txt and region.properties,

list.txt contains the order and list of the search plugins from the search text box. That's subject to approval from Mozilla, you can start with comitting the en-US version: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/e56ecd8b3a68/browser/locales/en-US/searchplugins/list.txt and open a bug to suggest any changes to that.

Almost the same for http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/e56ecd8b3a68/browser/locales/en-US/chrome/browser-region/region.properties , just get the en-US and suggest any changes in a different bug.

I'm initially excluding those from Narro to avoid any problems because of the above mentioned reason. Once you settled those, they'll be on Mercurial and you will rarely have to deal with them.
This zip contains Kashubian Firefox (from Narro). Some files have been deleted/added (see comment 6 and 7)

Hi Jurk,

Following up on what Axel said:

https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_context_suggest.php?l=csb&p=14&f=10943&c=153738&tf=1&st=1&s=&ci=1&cc=1&o=-1&a=0&sc=0

Should be the name of your language in your language (Language (full country name or code)).

Go on that page and click Show suggestions from other languages to see how others did it.

If I'm not mistaken, that name is shown in the Addons->Languages dialogue, in the form of THAT_STRING language pack, so you can check that.
This file contains a roll-up of all the changes to date.

Hi,

To followup on the list.txt file:

As far as I know, the file has a list of search engines which correspond to an xml file with that name in the folder that list.txt resides. However the en-US xml files are automatically inherited, so you don't need to copy those in your locale. You need to copy and commit whatever search engine you add though.
Hi Axel,

This bug needs a bit of love,

Here's the compare locales output: https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/data/import/14/Firefox%20Next%20%28mozilla-central%29_csb_compare-locales.html

He's only missing list.txt and region.properties as those haven't been decided on.

Does Yurek need to open a separate bug to add csb to the list of supported locales and get a Mercurial repository set up ?

Axel,

Please, let me know what we should do next.

Yurek
Any prediction on when this bug may be looked at?

Yurek
No predictions, but "now" it is.

Jurk, I'll be filing a good deal of bugs blocking bug 668771, which we'll use to track the progress of creating an official Kashubian version.

Sorry for the lag in handling this, with firefox 4 and then the new release cadence, we were just glad to survive with the localizations we have.

Resolving this FIXED, as the work's happening in other bugs now.

Congrats and welcome.
