an intuitive interaction that currently is not implemented is clicking inside a group. this should zoom that group and give focus to the last used tab or the currently selected tab.

You're talking about clicking anywhere in a group and having it take you to the previously touched (or currently selected) tab?

This was behavior we had previously in Panorama. The feedback we received was that it counter-intuitive and particularly easy to do accidentally. It's also asymmetric in that it punishes you rather harshly for making a small mistake.

Unless there's a new interaction idea that solves some of these problems, I think we should leave our behavior as is.
