Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b10pre) Gecko/20110120 Firefox-4.0/4.0b10pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b10pre) Gecko/20110120 Firefox-4.0/4.0b10pre

In text entry boxes - especially those on pages which are complex to render or those for which the text box itself is styled (e.g., with a gradient), anti-aliased text does not render completely. Artifacts of the text are visible, but not some of the characters, until after the page is refreshed.

This appears to be part of a general regression on Linux in recent nightlies of rendering/compositing, as some layers of complex pages may not be fully rendered immediately.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Even in these text entry fields, simply:

1. Type text
2. As text is typed quickly, some of it is obscured
3. As the screen is refreshed, the text is restored
Actual Results:
Text is obscured.

Expected Results:
Text should refresh more quickly as it is updated.

I cannot provide a screenshot as GNOME appears to refresh the screen prior to taking the shot.
