I found a bug introduced with the new developer tools: When submitting tags for an add-on, contained dots are removed without any notification. While this might be desired, it prevents me from deleting tags containing dots I created with the old tools. When I try to remove a tag containing dots, the tag will not be deleted. Instead a new tag with stripped dots will be added.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have an add-on with dot(s) in tags
2. Remove tag containing dot(s)
Actual Results:  
Tag is not removed, but a new tag stripped of any dots is added

Expected Results:  
Tag is not removed

This is mostly a dupe of bug 621811.  The adding part is different, but that won't happen once that bug is fixed anyway.
