When downloading large file, the download sometimes stops. When that happens, the download window does not give any indication, and continues to show the current speed. The only way to notice is that that speed stops changing - while when the download is really working, it fluctuates all the time
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start download of http://fortress01.chicago.gamerslifeline.com/first-person-shooters/battlefield-2/patch/BF2_Patch_1.50.zip , 2GB file
2. watch the current speed in download window
3.
Actual Results:
at some point the speed will stop changing, the same number will be displayed for a long time
At that point the download already does not work.
Expected Results:
There should be some indication of the problem; perhaps automatic retrying, or at least some message. The speed should go down to 0.

I just re-verified it, and it still the same. Here's what I did:
Published a large file on my HTTP server (Microsoft IIS in Windows XP SP3)
started downloading the file with Firefox 4.0.1
on the remote machine with web server, suspended the process "inetinfo" (i.e. webserver), so it stopped
firefox continued showing the download in progress without any changes, and with the constant speed - same as it was before I suspended it.
Then I resumed the process on the server, and download happily continued.
I think, there should be some timeout after which if there's no progress, Firefox would issue an error message, perhaps ask if I want to continue waiting or not. In any case, the download speed should definitely go down to 0.

Reporter -> Are you still experiencing this issue with the latest version of Firefox 6? Does the issue occur with the latest nightly? http://nightly.mozilla.org/

yes, just tried

I don't know, but I think that after I already have reported it and then confirmed it twice, maybe it's now your turn to try it out?
