User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_6; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4 Build Identifier: Per Mark Surman's request, I'm opening a bug to have my blog added to the Mozilla and Drumbeat planets. I am working with Nathaniel James, Matt Thompson, and others on the new Knight-Mozilla News Technology Initiative. The URL for Mozilla-specific content is: http://www.phillipadsmith.com/tag/mozilla The feed for that page is: http://www.phillipadsmith.com/rss/tag/mozilla Also, I noticed that Nathaniel James' blog is not aggregated the planet.mozilla.org. The URL for his blog is: http://nathanieljames.org/ Let me know if you have any questions. Many thanks in advance, Phillip. P.S. We're doing an announcement on Wednesday, so it would be great to have these blogs in the planets before then, if possible. Apologies for the last-minute notice. Reproducible: Always
Per suggestions in #drumbeat irc, I'm bumping this up to 'major' as it was requested by Mark Surman for a series of announcement going out this week. Apologies in advance, Phillip.
Severity: normal → major
I can add you to Planet Drumbeat, but I'll need a URL for Drumbeat-specific content. Ideally everything you tag with "Mozilla" should not end up on Planet Drumbeat as well. Let me know when you have a feed URL for Drumbeat-specific content and I'll add you to planet.drumbeat.org. Someone else will have to address your request to be added to planet.mozilla.org.
You've been added to planet.drumbeat.org. Can take a bit of time to show up, but you're in there.
Many thanks Paul. Greatly appreciated.
Just a quick ping / follow-up on this request. I'm not seeing the feed in the planet.drumbeat.org OPML file, nor on planet.mozilla.org. Paul: Can you give me some guidance here on who needs to look at this ticket and sign-off?

Hi Phillip, there's a problem with planet.drumbeat.org not picking up changes from SVN. See Bug # 628778. Once that's resolved, your posts will start showing up. With regard to planet.mozilla.org, the people who need to look are CC'd on this ticket.
Paul, Wrong URL was used for the feed. The feed that is on planet.drumbeat.org is www.phillipadsmith.com/cgi-bin/mt/mt-search.cgi?search=drumbeat&Template=rss-ps&IncludeBlogs=3 That's just a search, not a _tag_ search. Will pull lots of non-Drumbeat content. Should be (per above): http://www.phillipadsmith.com/rss/tag/drumbeat

The link in the right sidebar is grabbed from the rss/channel/link element in the feed.

Assuming that will update when the planet next updates. Let me know if otherwise.
Deb or whoever is managing planet.mozilla.org: I've escalated this to critical as Phillip is a part of a major press announcement we are doing next Monday. His blog needs to be on Planet by then. Anything you can do to expedite would be deeply appreciated.
