Details

Can't sort messages with "read" column. Sorting is possible if you click another column header and click read column. Build: 2000121304/Win98

It sorts for me whether or not I click/sort by another column first. Using 2000-12-14-04 commercial trunk build, win98. Marking worksforme.

Actually, that wasn't very friendly, H-J. What are you suggesting? That we should keep every bug open even if they can't be reproduced? Laurel tested the next build on the same platform after kazhik@mozilla.gr.jp filed the bug. It worked for her. It's not a complicated action and based on the bug description I'm sure Laurel did everything she could to reproduce it. If you are able to reproduce this then please reopen with the steps that make it happen. Your comments are suggesting that we should never use the WORKSFORME field and I don't think that makes any sense.
I'm not always that hard on people. Sorry for that, but it didn't work for me. And your statement did look like, Hey, it works for me, so take a hike! Why don't wait for a second opinion? That makes more sense to me. But I'm sorry that I was so rude. I take it back.
I know it's frustrating to have a bug that doesn't work for you get marked WORKSFORME. But, I'm assuming it really did work for Laurel. Like I said earlier, if you are using a later build than the one Laurel tested and it still doesn't work for you, you should reopen this bug and then we can try to figure out the steps necessary to reproduce it.
