Please help us out with getting the new Add-ons Template design into HTML.
The design will be ready for pickup on Monday afternoon Jan 24 (pacific time), we'll add the link from the designer to this bug as soon as it is ready.
Needs to be converted to HTML and placed in this folder in Responsys:
Folder: 2011_Add_Ons_Registered
File name: 2011_1_Add_Ons_News (please call it something like this)
thanks, Eve
Here is the design (attachments), thanks for your help to get it into HTML.
Fred, if you can help us out with this, that would be great.

Actually if I understand it well, the right workflow for work on our email newsletters is through the Websites team. CCing Laura Forrest (and jlongster is already on CC). They will help you get this live.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Fred, actually we work directly with webdev for HTML requests to get our email templates programmed up and ready for sendout.
(If it requires mozilla.com web page updates, like registration page updates or changes to First Run or What's New pages, then we flow those requests by Laura and team, since it is web related).
cheers,
Eve

Since Alex left, we're going to change this moving forward. The right team to handle this would be the websites team; they have front-end capabilities, communicate often with Silver Orange/Steven and manage the form process as Alex and Fred directed through the mentorship of James. If that is a problem for anybody, please talk to me.
John, Laura, Tara,
Mike suggests a process change that we funnel our HTML requests for email updates through the web team, not a problem. Who should handle on your side? We'll copy you on the "Email" bugs or make you the regular bug recipient.
Tara just helped us get the Add-ons template designed, which looks great.
Web team, Can you help us out, please, with arranging next step of HTML programming and into Responsys.
Deadline: Love to get it done by tomorrow if possible. We're shooting for email sendout on Wed.
Thank you!
Eve

Thanks Eve,
As we discussed, yes, it would be ideal to funnel everything through the main release cycle - especially things like new templates, list migrations, newsletter sign up flows, and similar projects that you plan for on a regular basis.
Of course we still need to be able to move quickly as a business. We realize there may be last-minute requests and we'll make room for those outside of the releases. This is one of those, especially since you're shooting to send the email out Wed.
Morgamic - can you assign this to someone on your team? Target launch date for this email is Wed or Thursday of this week.

I'm willing to team up with another webdev if it would help, but I haven't done many HTML emails and I know they require a lot of specialized knowledge to know what is valid for most email clients. If someone can guide I can do some of the work.

Hi all. I just moved this to be a website bug and flagged it as the 1.2 release. Is that doable? Steven, can you guys help if need be?
Thanks-

Just read the earlier comments about the time-sensitive nature of this...might be better as a one-off rather than 1.2 then?

A one off would be fantastic if that's possible. Dan has a competition he's trying to push that has a Feb. 15 submission deadline. Ideally, we'd like to release this email before Friday.

The attached zip file includes the HTML and images for the mailing.
There are two versions of the HTML:
1. source.html is the basic editable HTML
2. index.html is an automatically (via http://premailer.dialect.ca/) CSS-inlined version that works better in most mail clients. This is the version that should be used.
Whoever is importing this template into Responsys will have to make sure the any links (unsubscribe, etc.) are accurate.

Winston, what's the next step here? Are you able to take this and get it into responsys, or do you need more help from web-dev? I'm thinking in particular about unsubscribe links, hosting of images, etc.
