If a message exceeded the Maximum Message Size set in Account Settings, and is in the trash, and I have second thoughts about viewing it. If I click to download the rest of the message, it is deleted. If I first move it to a different folder this does not happen

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. delete a message that exceedes the Maximum Message Size set in Account Settings
2. in the trash, click on it to download the rest of the message.

Actual Results:
It disappears.

Expected Results:
Downloaded the rest of the message so I can view it
Over imap or over pop ?

Anything in tools -> Error console when this happens ?
As you say "I click to download the rest of the message", I assume POP3.

There are some cases.
(1) You enable "Leave Messages on Server", and the partially downloaded mail is moved to Trash by Delete operation at Inbox, then the mail is deleted from mbox of server, because Tb requests DELE to POP3 sever when the mail is deleted by you if "Leave Messages of Server" option is used.
(2) The partially downloaded mail is deleted at server before you try to download rest of message, based on retention policy of server.
(3) "Leave Messages on Server" is disabled. Partial mail in Inbox is copied to some folders, and the partial mail in a folder is moved to Trash. At a folder, you execute download rest of message, then DELE is requested by Tb and he mail is deleted from mbox of server. So, when you try to download rest of message at Trash, nothing can be downloaded, and the partial mail is removed from Trash.

Do you enable "Leave Messages on Server"?
Wayne, Do you enable "Leave Messages on Server"?

I'm quite sure this is a duplicate of a pop bug
