User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110129 Firefox/4.0b11pre

I have two tabs open on the same URL. If I try to do something on the second tab opened, it acts on the first tab.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open two tabs to the same URL ( I was at: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/mx/controls/package-detail.html). I did go to another page ( yahoo.com ) in two tabs and the problem did _not_ occur; so it seems to have been specific to the first URL mentioned.
2. Go to the second tab and click on an item like mx.controls in the left frame.
3. You will see the first tab updated and not the second tab.
I updated minefield after submitting this bug and the issue may be "fixed", or at least behaves differently. Now, when I click on a link in the frame (let's say mx.controls as I had previously indicated), it automatically opens in a new tab. So now I have three tabs: 2 are pointing to: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/mx/controls/package-detail.html, the two tabs I originally opened and the mx.controls. Now, I may follow a link on the mx.controls tab to look at some information. This, presents a new problem, because the third tab (mx.controls) is now stomped upon by the first two tabs.

I know this is probably a fun bug to follow the explanation on and repeat. However, I would want any tab to be completely independent of any other. I have not been able to repeat this on other sites, so everything else seems to work okay. Therefore, I don't know how obscure this bug is. I tried going to Yahoo as previously mentioned. I also tried going to w3.org, the Java API and some other pages, and they all worked fine. As a coder myself, I tend to be in API docs for Actionscript drilling down to info for several topics and this causes problems. However, the problems appears to definitely specific to the Actionscript page as far as I can tell. With that in mind, I would classify this bug as obscure and not a high priority until additional reports are filed.

Thanks for all you guys do.
Works for me using the same build ID.

Can you still reproduce this issue with your add-ons disabled?

Problem exists in latest minefield, beta, 10.0.648 of Chrome and does not exist in Safari 5.0.3.6533. To me, once a tab opens, it should be _completely_ independent from any other tabs. I don't know enough about JavaScript, DOM, etc. to know why this occurs, or if that is the problem. However, to reiterate, from a usability stand-point, once a tab opens, it should be completely independent.
I love FF. It's my de-facto browser out of FF, Chrome and Safari. Panorama is a major coup for you guys as well as everything else the makes FF a great browser. However, it seems as though you guys are chasing Chrome in some respects and I would advise that you concentrate on _your_ vision of the best browser instead of an escalating compatibility war.

I don't know what internal documents define FF's vision, but make that your mantra for development and not chasing Chrome.

Keep up the great work.
