a few patches have landed in talos for android and mobile testing.

I don't think we actually need a big downtime here since all that's changed is remote testing stuff, no?

If we're able to move a file and still have the webserver serve it to currently downloading machines, then we might not need a downtime at all.

jmaher are these instructions still up-to-date

If I recall correctly we would place the file in
http://build.mozilla.org/talos/zips/talos.zip rather than landing on
http://hg.mozilla.org/build/talos as the instructions indicate.

Could you please paste the md5sum?

The next scheduled downtime is on Thursday EDT morning.

WRT to having downtime. We really don't need one as I already investigated it.
It just requires triggering a new talos set run of a known changeset and publicize on tree-management the new changeset to use as baseline and the time it was deployed.

We could tag it along the downtime since it is more quite.

I agree.

this bug is just to make sure what is running on all machines is what we have
checked in.  I have verified on tools staging that this doesn't break desktop
Firefox.  This can be scheduled in whenever or if people are comfortable a soft
deploy with no 'downtime'.

Same goes for the pageloader patch in bug 630651

ok, we had a mixup in a patch that was applied causing the mobile branch to fail.  This is fixed in bug 630778 (thanks aki), and I have updated talos.zip in the same location:
