Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Firefox seems to have the vocabulary of a 12-year-old, not knowing words like "euthanize" and "aggregator". Any time you type a "big" word, an underline appears, prompting you to re-spell a correctly spelled word.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In almost any text-entry area in the content region of the browser, type a word like "icthyophobia".
2. Right-click it.
3. See that it's not in the dictionary.
Actual Results:
I had to add the word to the dictionary myself.

Expected Results:
The software should be able to recognise actual words in the languages for which it is produced, not creating an underline for a correct word.
I do not see this issue on

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110201 Firefox/4.0b11pre

Also, the STR lack in clarity. Reporter, could you please be more specific?

*specify a clear context where you type those words and get underlined.
*are you sure the underlining sends to spelling check? could be related to another bug.

Thanks!
Type the word " fellator " in this "Additional Comments" field to see a recreation of this event.
Maniac, this is an issue with the spell checker. Simple to reproduce, type words in a comments field with spell checking enabled and you can test if it is in the dictionary.
Reporter, please download and install Firefox 4 Beta 10 or later. The dictionary has been dramatically improved (bug 479334).
There is bug 499593 to suggest new words that were not included in the last dictionary update.
