I've been hammering the API fairly hard. The major reason is I am requesting bugs and their attachments (as I need to know if they have patches attached). That pulls a lot of data.

My suggestion is to make the "attachments" field only include attachments that don't have is_obsolete set by default. "all_attachments" can be specified instead to return everything if tools need that.
You know you can request them without the attachment data itself, right? (I'm fairly sure that's the default.)

The mechanism we use for getting this data out of Bugzilla does not allow us to specify in this way. So really, you are asking for BzAPI to throw away data before transmitting it to you. Given that, is this still a feature you would like?
