When I print out the Firefox Platform Roadmap: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/Roadmap The second page includes both the "Five Area of Focus" and the "Contents" section on it. It looks like the Contents section doesn't take up any vertical space If you hide it using the in-page JS and then print it, the page prints fine without the Contents section at all.
Smaug seems to think this might be a recent regression.
Print preview looks ok using Gecko/20110129, but Gecko/20110202 looks bad.
Oh, it depends on profile.
Ok. I can reproduce even with Gecko/20110129 if I use US Letter page size. A4 (which I normally use) works.
So I was wrong about the regression. The behavior is the same on 1.9.2.
Seems to workforme with Letter paper, but it might depend on font sizes too...
I can confirm this in Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64 (US Letter paper), in Print Preview. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b11pre
OS: Windows 7 → All
Hardware: x86 → All
This is broken at least as far back as Firefox 3.0: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:22.214.171.124) Gecko/2010031218 Firefox/3.0.19
