User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 Bug 477322 discusses the problem of users accidentally choosing "Start new" instead of "Restore session" in the session restore window. There is a lot of useful discussion in that bug about the way the OS marks the default action on the screen, and I don't want to sidetrack it, so I am opening a new bug. This is a suggestion to prevent data loss in a slightly different situation. If the user has interacted with the list of tabs to be restored, typically unchecking some of them, and still hits the "Start new session" button, it can probably be assumed that they did not intend to, and would be happy to see a "Are you sure you want to start a new session?" dialog asking for confirmation. If the user did not interact with the list, no dialog is needed, as they probably (though as bug 477322 will show, not necessarily) intended to start a new session. Reproducible: Always
I find myself clicking the wrong button on occasion.
