632068 - A repeatable bug when sorting messages in the messages list (any folder)

There is a repeatable bug that comes up when sorting messages in a messages list. I came across this twice in a day and that's the reason why I tried a few permutations to find the exact repeatable steps to reproduce this.

When the steps give below are done, the sorted list is incorrect. One needs to refresh the sort order to get the sorting corrected.

Steps to reproduce the issue
============================
threaded+sort on date
remove threaded view
sort desc on date
sort asc on date
    still incorrect sort



Steps to resolve the issue
==========================
resolve
    sort on any other column apart from date and this resets this issue
    now sorting on date
        shows correctly

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable threaded view
2. Sort on any column (for this example, sort on date)
3. remove threaded view
4. Sort Desc on date
5. Sort Asc on date
6. Steps 4 and 5 show junk results. In fact, if you keep changing the sort order within the date column, the sorted list is not sorted

Actual Results:  
The sorted results in Step 4 and Step 5 give an incorrect sorted list.

Expected Results:  
The list should reset and sort as per the sort order, but this doesn't happen

To resolve this, if you re-sort the list on any of the columns (apart from the one chosen, in this case date), the list now refreshes and is sorted properly.

do you still see this problem when using a current version of thunderbird? 

And if you do not, please close bug report by changing resolution to worksforme
