Details

Safari neatly visualizes which parts of the web page are rendered using hardware acceleration. Try e.g. http://webkit.org/blog-files/3d-transforms/poster-circle.html within a Safari started with $ CA_COLOR_OPAQUE=1 /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari Chrome apparently supports something similar with the --show-composited-layer-borders cmd line flag, though I haven't gotten it to work. It would be neat if we could do something similar.
