I am reading mail via IMAP off an exchange server

I use gkrellm as a notification tool for my mail

If gkrellm checks the mail while mozilla is performing an IMAP operation
(delete/read/etc), the mailnews window hangs and I have to kill the process.

Seth - any experience with gkrellm, should this be WORKSFORME since that's an 
unsupported app?

steve, from the users comments it sounds like it could be a valid bug.

you can have multiple imap clients on the same machine talking to the same server.

here's a giant stab in the dark:  exchange is doing something interesting when
the users fires up gkrellm.  perhaps it is dropping the open connections to
mozilla and we aren't handling it well.  we've had similar things when your
network connection goes down, but I thought mscott fixed them.

reporter, can you get the imap protocol log when this happens and attach it to
the bug report?  do you know which version of exchange?

OK, so now after about half an hour of testing, running gkrellm and fetchmail
checking every 2 seconds, and a loop sending me new mail every 3 seconds, I got
not one hang.  I am currently using build 2000121510.

Possibly the mscott fix helped this, if it happened in the last 2 weeks.
