Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.14) Gecko/20110207 Firefox/3.6.14 STR: 1. Go to Library and create a folder. 2. Create another folder in the same pane (Bookmarks Name, or Toolbar, or Unsorted Bookmarks); give the newly created folder the exact same name as in step 1. Folders located in the same category/pane should not be allowed to have the same names. Adding name[1], name[2] could be a simple, elegant, solution. Note: see screenshot

I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Detecting name clashes would be expensive and require additional code, think of the overhead when moving or copying or importing thousands of bookmarks. While changing a folder name is a simple operation.
