User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS i86pc; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101206 Firefox/3.6.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS i86pc; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101206 Firefox/3.6.13 overview: try to save a file from the right-click context menu, create folder, Firefox crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select "save link as..." 2. after dialog box opens, create a new folder in home directory from within Firefox. 3. Firefox will completely crash before you even get to the file saving part of this operation. Actual Results: browser completely crashes, but the new folder is successfully made in home directory. Expected Results: new folder gets created by Firefox, and you are able to select it and save a file to that newly created folder. I'm using OpenIndiana b148 (x64) with Gnome 2.30.2 which is binary compatible with Solaris 11 Express. I used this tarball to upgrade b148 older Firefox release to 3.6.13: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-3.6/contrib/solaris_tarball/firefox-3.6.13.en-US.opensolaris-i386.tar.bz2
It is CR 7007407. It is a bug of glib/gio on Solaris. Will be fixed in future S11 releases.
