Crash Data

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/9.0.597.98 Safari/534.13 Build Identifier: ff ver.3.6.13 build 20101203075014 When starting the firefox application in both reg/safemode the crash reporter comes up but when starting the app in either version while in pc safemode it works fine. The only difference from when it worked to when it stopped working properly was updating spyware doctor with antivirus to pctools internet security. It has cut off internet service at one point in the upgrade but after successful upgrade the connection returned but firefox application still won't load properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.simply click the firefox addon and/or shortcut and it brings up the crash reporter window. 2. 3. Expected Results: ff app should have launched and brought up the set default window which is google.com Oh i forgot...while in pc safemode i disabled all addons and this didn't resolve the issue. um computer config is basically 12g physical ram and 1tb hdd x2 (one for apps/system and one for data - doc's, vids, imgs, etc) i7 processor. memory should certainly not be an issue and this crash occurs whether there are other apps already open (such as outlook) or if there are no apps open when trying to lauch ff. result is the same.

here are one of the crash reports...they all have the same crash reasons https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/85c641fa-ceda-45df-920c-aa8eb2110212
OS: Windows Vista → Windows 2000
let me know if you need anything...i've found this issue many times in my google searches but I can't find anything where someone actually has gone this far to get a solution so I'd like to get it resolved and post the solution out there.
OS: Windows 2000 → All
The crash is happening in "wblind.dll" and that is not part of Firefox or the windows OS. I think it's part of WindowBlinds. Please remove this "WindowBlinds" and try it again.

rapture xp theme...checking for updates to software right now...ill let you know if it remains the same etc brb
I updated the windowblinds software and firefox now launches....there are no bookmarks and I'm having trouble importing or restoring a backup but it launches nonetheless. any ideas would be greatly appreciated....ill post updates.
1)Upgraded to WindowBlinds 7.2 and firefox launched but without showing any bookmarks. 2) launched firefox in safemode, checked the disable addons, reset toolbars and options and delete bookmarks except.... boxes. Restarted Firefox and it launched fine with bookmarks back in order. Thanks for all your help.

I stand corrected....after closing the window and restarting ff I found the bookmarks disappeared again....I went through the safemode options again and it seems the "delete bookmarks except...." option is the one that makes them reappear but only until you close firefox....when you open back up they are gone again and the problem persists. only way to see bookmarks is to use the "delete bookmarks except...." option and hit the start ff button. Ideas?

After clicking the "delete bookmarks except...." option in safemode and proceeding to regular..the bms all show up except when you click the organize bookmarks option under bookmarks...it opens the manager but its totally blank....no information at all...appears as thought there are no bms even though they are showing in the pulldown mode and the bm toolbar. close the ff window and they are gone again until opening ff via the safemode "delete bookmarks except...." option
oh and i replaced the current bm file with an older one and there was no difference so I don't think there are any errors in the bm.html file
Ok solved for the moment. created a brand new firefox profile and imported bm's into that profile and everything seems to work ok.
ok, so we could blocklist e.g. <7.4. reporter: note that this bug is limited to your crash, once you stopped crashing you should have used a new bug. thanks for verifying that updating windowblinds resolved your problem.
