User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; SunOS sun4u; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; SunOS sun4u; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11 Sorry my English. If i start FF4.0B11 (also B10, but not B9), in th Location Bar is not the URL. I see "Go to a Web Site" And then, no "go back one page" are function. I create a new Solaris user (without .mozilla-Directory), i have also this problem. It's not always, but frequently. Reproducible: Sometimes i have der Solaris-Package from this Site http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/
Please try the firefox safemode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode This is in most cases caused by addons on our Tier-1 platforms. The safemode should help if this is either caused by addon/Hardware acceleration or JM/TM. I CC ginn.chen@oracle.com who seems to do work on solaris at the moment
I forgot: Is your profile stored on a NFS location ?
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Hello Matti (do you speak german?!?!) my profile isn't stored on an NFS location. It's on my Workstation directly. So that i don't become problems with addons, i create a new system-user. (no .mozilla-directory in the homedir) Then i logged on in Solaris under the new account. Start FF40B11, configure proxy and startup homepage. And start new again. In few cases of starts, i can see this problem. Best Regards Juergen PS: Taet's auch in Deutsch gehen?? Koennt ich meine Problem besser beschreiben!?!
could be the same cause of bug 633771 But I didn't reproduce it on my local machine. I will try more.
(In reply to comment #5) > could be the same cause of bug 633771 Sorry, i am a "simple" user. I can't say, if the problem is as same. After start of FF, the cpu-load is very low. But i go to the Oracle-Support-Page and "use" it, my cpu-load (process firefox-bin) goes nearly 100% !?! I think, that is another problem. > But I didn't reproduce it on my local machine. I will try more. Have you a SPARC or X86 system?
>Hello Matti (do you speak german?!?!) yes, I speak german but the developers only speak english and it would be a problem if we use german. I'm only a bug triager and only people like Ginn Chen can help if this is a real bug in the code. This looks like a problem with the sqlite database that is used for storing the history and bookmarks. >In few cases of starts, i can see this problem. This problem doesn't happen always and it works sometimes ?
Hallo Matti, ich schreib nun mal in Deutsch, weil mein Englisch ist doch "mehr Schlecht als Recht". Notfalls versuch ich es auch nochmal in Englisch. Konnt nicht alles so uebersetzen, was du geschrieben hast.
I translate the answer in my own words. The issue happens directly after the start and he have to restart 1-3x to get a working Firefox. The issue is that the URL of the homepage is missing in the URL bar.
similar issue of Bug 633771, it happens if WAL is not enabled and user has set his own homepage. It happens randomly. The reason is clone connection failed due to SQLITE_BUSY. If I always retry on SQLITE_BUSY for prepare and step SQL statement, the problem is gone.
