Hi,

This is another localization piece. We can work on this post Fx4.

They have a page on their site that they are using as a newsletter archive. There isn’t a way to opt-in to the email, but you can read it online.

I’d like to replace http://mozilla.com.cn/foxletter/ with a localized version of http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/newsletter/(see attachment)

The web visitors is directed to the opt-in by a button in the China website footer. We’ll need to update that URL once this page goes live.

The localized copy is attached in an HTML file that Rachel provided.

In addition to creating the newsletter opt-in page, we’d like to include a check box during the community registration process. That form is located here - http://mozilla.com.cn/accounts/register/?next=/foxletter/

Underneath the “I have read and agree…” before the complete registration button, we’d like to add a check box that gives the registrant the option to opt-in for the Firefox Express newsletter.

The copy will read:

( ) 我希望每月收到邮件新闻稿火狐快讯。

For both pages, when the subscriber opt-ins, map the following to Responsys:

FIREFOX_EXPRESS_FLG = Y

FIREFOX_EXPRESS_DATE = Date of optin

COUNTRY_= CN
Target Milestone: --- → 1.5
do you want this page to be on mozilla.com or mozilla.com.cn ?
For the new page we're creating that mimics the U.S. opt-in form, I believe that would be located on mozilla.com similar to the German version.

Laura - is that correct?

Part 2 of the project, the edit to the community registration page would occur on mozilla.com.cn.

That makes sense if that's what was done for the German version. Pascal - is this something you can do since it's l10n? Assigning to you for now unless advised otherwise.

Hey Pascal - looks like Rachel should be able to help out here, assigning to her now.

I am reassigning to Jesse since she is now in charge of newsletter, Jesse can you evaluate this request? Thanks

Thanks Pascal. First we should focus on getting the Chinese localized version of the main signup form created (Bug 769480):

https://www.mozilla.org/zh-CN/newsletter

Once that's live, Rachel and I will chat about how we want to integrate the signup forms on http://mozilla.com.cn/

Options for integration:
1) Simple: link to the localized main signup form (easiest to implement and keep updated - especially with basket stuffs)
2)Integrate basket into the existing signup forms on mozilla.com.cn

Once Bug 769480 is closed, we'll revisit this ticket.

Thanks!

Is there anything else need to do ? Newsletter page of zh-CN looks very well now.
Jessilyn, can we close this bug or move it outside if the mozilla.org component if there is nothing else for us to do? Thanks
Ah! This page looks lovely now. All is good with l10n so I'm moving it out of here. Thanks!
