User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11

The small overlay for connecting / waiting / loading status messages comes on top of vertical scroll bar (if one is present). I guess it must be coming with the content window, not on the scroll bars.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Resize the browser to half or less of the screen, so you can see a vertical scrollbar when you open some site.
2. Open http://www.yahoo.com
3. Now see the small overlay coming on top of the vertical scroll bar.
Actual Results:
The small overlay is coming on top of the vertical scroll bar.

Expected Results:
The small overlay must be within the content window.
Can confirm on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110215 Firefox/4.0b12pre ID:20110215030353
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Maybe this is expected because on mouse over event the position of the small overlay changes.
Confirms on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110213 Firefox/4.0b12pre

There is one more problem with this:

1. There is a site with a vertical scroll
Summary: Overlay for connecting/waiting/loading status messages comes on top of vertical scroll bar → Overlay for connecting/waiting/loading status messages comes on top of horizontal scroll bar
Sorry... could not complete the previous comment:
(Tested with 8.0a1 (2011-07-15))

1. There is a site with a horizontal scroll bar. The loading overlay comes on it and goes away when the page loads. This is fine.
2. There is a dropdown box inside the page, and on selecting an item, it loads a different page. Now here comes the problem. When a different page is loaded on selecting a dropdown item, the new loading overlay comes on the horizontal scroll bar and stays there "forever" until I hover my mouse on any other link.

My bad... I mean "horizontal".
