Sync will automatically retry this action. Perhaps it's related to Bug 628224? That's the same error, but given the error message is generic and non-informative, there's no reason it should be. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on sync button 2. Obtain "error while syncing message" 3. Actual Results: Does not sync Expected Results: Sync Is there some way to file a bug report like Microsoft does, automatically, rather than relying on user description? I have no idea how to give you the information you need to solve this. I guess most users don't.
Please go to about:sync-log in Firefox, save it to a file and attach the file to this bug. Thanks!
I'm getting the same error on Win XP and Ubuntu 11.04. The sync-log only contains very old entries. Nothing seems to be written into the log during the time between I started the sync and checked about:sync-log So what I can do to provide more information?

Please see https://philikon.wordpress.com/2010/12/28/bookmark-sync-issues/. But rather than piling your logs onto this bug or other existing bugs, please file a *new* one.
