When I go to install add-ons in Minefield 4.0b12pre (20110216), I get the following error in the error console: Error: this.setProgress is not a function Source File: chrome://browser/content/urlbarBindings.xml Line: 1003 That error does not occur in the same profile (no add-ons) under Firefox 4.0b11. So this broke sometime between 20110202 and 20110216. The only changes made to urlbarBindings.xml during that time were fixes for Bug 633571, Bug 633400, Bug 631812 and Bug 541656. My best guess would be Bug 633571, but I haven't verified that.

Almost certainly bug 633571 but I have no idea why

Actually I guess it is possible for updateProgress to get called after the progress notification has been destroyed which would cause this error. It is pretty harmless though so I don't believe it is worth backing out bug 633571 for it.

Hi, We have also run into this error on Windows 7 64bit FF 4Rc2 I think, this error usually comes when the page has a no valid certificate
the bug is also in the 4.0.1. "this.setProgress is not a function" is readable after a failed installation of an addon. As solution worked deinstallung and reinstalling the firefox. The Addon wasnt fully signed. Only the McCoy tool was applied.

We no longer support legacy add-ons and it's been 7 years, so I imagine this should work now. Please reopen with more detailed steps on how to reproduce if you're still seeing this.
