I receive this error every time while trying to sync on 4.0b11. I don't seem to have this issue in Minefield or 3.6. Emailing my about:sync-log to Philipp. If it helps in diagnosing, the sync computer name for my beta profile is called "William's Macbook Beta".
I am also getting this error on Firefox 7.0a2

Marking this bug resolved, since I haven't seen this error in a while. It seems to have been fixed by an update to the Services backend or to Firefox.
