Downloaded 17 FEB 2011 Eudora OSE, following an import of Eudors v7 address book contents displays addresses with missing information, only 28 nicknames of the approx. 250 addreses, all of which have nicknames attached in the NNDBASE.TXT file, but are not displayed. It appears that all (or some portion of all) of the addressboookk entries has been picked up but a lot of the info appears to have been ignored or just bypassed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.TOOLS | IMPORT | ADDRESS BOOKS | NEXT 2. 3. Actual Results: A few (28 of a couple hundred)) nicknames display in the Eudora Nicknames list. NAMES and EMAIL address will display, but cannot be accessed by clicking on a (missing) nickname. All (so far asI can tell) addresses will automatically display in the TO: line of the message if an apropriate nickname (even one not able to be displayed) is entered in the TO: line. Additionally not all of the address NAME appears to have been translates in some instances. Expected Results: Expect the have ALL nicknames available and displayed in the Eudora Nicknames list. Should have loaded all address book info. Displaying ALL nicknames in the Eudora Nicknames field, making them accessible for clicking on to select the appropriate addressee.
Did a bit more looking at the input vs. output. INPUT data (in TAB delimited format) IS CORRECT, it IS being IMPORTED accurately... it's the on-screen DISPLAY (NICKNAME, NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS) that is in error... actually, it's the NICKNAME and NAME... the on-screen display shows NO(!) NICKNAMES at all, even though they ARE being correctly imported (as conformed by viewing the EDIT CONTACT screen. Likewise, F Name and L Name are being correctly imported (Edit Contact again confirms), but the on-screen NAME display contains the portion of the email address before the "@" character for every entry. The EMAIL address display IS CORRECT both on-screen and in EDIT CONTACT. If I knew where (file) these date were being stored, I cold send a copy of the file to you, if needed.
Penelope didn't see any activity in the vcs for the last 8 years, closing.
