How is the adobe-team group managed and used? I first noticed this group after I'd requested the addition of custom fields to BZ. I have a few questions and a request:
* Who are the members of the adobe-team group? (all @adobe users?)
* Are Adobe employees automatically added to this group?
I'd like Trevor Baker (trbaker@adobe.com) and me to be made admins for this group so we can share saved searches and have them automatically appear in the footer of the Adobe users.
Are there other use for groups that I might make use of?
Thanks!
Dan

223 users belong directly to this group.
Users whose email addresses match the following regexp are automatically members of this group:
@adobe\.com$
Members of this group inherit membership in the following groups:
timetrackers
This group is tied to the following products:
Tamarin (canconfirm, editbugs)
There is a saved search being shared with this group.

The following changes have been made to the user account dansmith@adobe.com:
The account has been granted rights to bless the adobe-team group.

You'll be able to add people outside of @adobe.com to the group, but not remove anyone inside @adobe.com
Looks like the main thing it was being used for so far was to automatically give users editbugs in the Tamarin product without getting it elsewhere, and to be able to see the time tracking controls.

Dan: it's great to have a group which e.g. makes it easy for all adobe people to automatically get timetracking privileges, but as I'm sure you know, all Mozilla-hosted projects are company-neutral. Please do not use this group in a way which restricts information only to Adobe employees. If it's a security bug, it should be in a security group, and if it's not, it should be public.
You may have had no intention of doing this, but I thought I'd just note it :-)

Dave, thanks for the quick service and explanation. 223 users? who knew. My main use for the group is to simplify pushing out saved searches that are specific to the Adobe Tamarin developers -- I don't want to push unnecessary searches to the other 190+ Adobe users who are in BZ. I'll request a new group, adobe-tamarin, which are for folks who are actively working on Tamarin within Adobe. Anyone can join this group but I'll make sure that the folks on my team are on it and get the appropriate searches. Again, thanks for the quick service.
Gerv, Understood and noted. This is just about making it easier for the Adobe Tamarin devs to get access to searches specific to our releases. All Tamarin bugs are either public or in a security group. Thanks for checking.
