Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b11) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b11

When right-clicking on certain images and choosing "Save image as…", the proposed name is not "tumblr_l3hej2yvcY1qboerto1_1280.jpg" (for example) but "tumblr_l3hej2yvcY1qboert.htm" i.e. the base name is truncated and the extension is wrong.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the URL : http://www.bonjourgeek.fr/post/966896261/proposee-pas-bob
2. Click on the picture
3. Right click
4. Choose "Save Image As…"
Actual Results:
The file name is : tumblr_l3hej2yvcY1qboert.htm

Expected Results:
The file name should be : tumblr_l3hej2yvcY1qboerto1_1280.jpg

When right-clicking on the image, choosing "View Image Info" and "Save As…", the proposed file name is the right complete one.

Also constated on Firefox 3.6.13 on Windows 7.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110221 Firefox/4.0b12pre

I am unable to reproduce the issue that you have described.

Can you please try reproducing it again on a clean profile:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing%20profiles

And also try it on the latest trunk:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
Version: unspecified → Trunk
I have the same behavior on the latest trunk with clean profile (on Linux and Windows 7, each on a different machine).

Have you left-clicked on the picture before right-clicking and "Save Image As…" ? (You should in fact be on a page like https://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com[…])
Directly right-clicking and "saving image as" on the picture on the provided link has indeed the right behavior for me.
Version: Trunk → unspecified
I can reproduce this with Seamonkey trunk and FF4.0b11 on win7
This should be a dupe of bug 311742

The image itself comes from a 302 redirect.
