But it is very strange. If you put a placeholder on a input field, it gets a shadow border as if it was a required field. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. put a placeholder on a input type text 2.look and see. it gets a red border 3.
Works as expected for me. You'll need to provide an example (minimized, if possible) of an HTML page which does this.
