This also occurs at hotmail. I am getting this problem too. (Mozilla 1.7.2, Windows XP) The only thing that changed on my computer is the Java plugin. It was the 1.4.2 and it is now the 1.5.0 (I do not expect it is related) I had no problem with Amazon.co.uk one month ago with the same browser. I've tried with an old IE, and it works. I guess there is something different on amazon.co.uk's website.
Uninstalled Mozilla 1.7.2, installed Mozilla 1.7.3 : no problem anymore.
