Since the new update that I just got when I shutdown Firefox it won't close all the way so when I try to re-open Firefox it says its already running in the background and I have to end it every time through the task manager

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Close Firefox
2. Open Firefox
3. Error comes up saying its already running
4. Open task manager and end firefox.exe
Actual Results:
I can re open firefox perfectly but it has to be ended every time

Expected Results:
It should close and reopen without lingering in the background

- Updated from 3.6.13 to 3.6.14

I have a similar but slightly different problem (I am working on a Windows Vista machine). My Firefox will not shut down at all unless I go to the task manager to "end task". The amount of memory taken by the application is very high lately since the last update, currently running at 134,188k. The application is slow to launch... please fix these issues
I had this problem on Linux with Firefox 29. Then it went away for no reason.
I've been having this problem on CentOS 6/RHEL 6 for about 2 years now:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0

Most times that I shut down Firefox (clicking on the 'X' or using the keyboard shortcut to quit) the process will keep running, and I need to manually kill the process in order to be able to start another Firefox instance.
